Text Box: COGGS will have a sampling kit available for wind breakers at our next board meeting.  The sampling kit has sizes ranging from extra small to XX large.

Windbreaker sizing is suggested to be one size larger than the jersey size that fits you. There will be a few samples of windbreakers and jerseys available.

This clothing is made by BICI imports ltd. (bici means bicycle in  Italian) and is of high quality construction with the best materials around.

Windbreaker cost is $ 63.00 not counting set-up fees.  Coggs may pick up the set up fee if we get enough orders for the windbreakers.

This is also a great opportunity to look at jerseys too, which we may be looking at getting in the future also.

So don’t miss this opportunity to get into a great COGGS windbreaker that would look great on you or your not as significant other.

The DirtSpanker and Powder Monkey race participants fell off sharply in 2003.  The reasons for this were many, however, the most significant reason was the demise of the Minnesota State Championship Series. The owners of the series just didn’t have the time or sponsorship money to continue on.

I’m glad to say for 2004 ‘THE IS SERIES BACK’! That’s right the MNSCS will be back this year with 9 races. All the race promoters of the participating races (including COGGS) have been meeting since the end of last year to rebuild the series. We still have a few details to work out so I can’t divulge everything. However, I can say that all races will have the consistency of the MNSCS series (classes, entry fees, times, on line registration etc.)  points tracking, and end of the year awards banquet. We have all been working hard to bring the series back to the level it was in 2002 and we hope within a couple of years it will be the premier of state championships.

If you participated in any of the previous races, look for promotional materials arriving in your mailbox in March. Your local bike shops should also have the calendars by then also.

2004 will be a great year for mountain biking racing in Minnesota and for the DirtSpanker and Powder Monkey!
