Treasurer’s Report

Checking $9,424.06 , Savings $2,701.35 Corporate sponsorship from Super One.

1. Sam Seelos Eagle Scout project: trail work day in Brewer June 26^th , north of snowmobile trail wet spot. Pre-assemble boardwalk week before; build at M Evingson’s house. COGGS provides materials. Sam needs to supervise, needs to know trail building procedure. 15-20 scouts; 4-5 adults

2. Trail Crew supervisor position: 6 applicants

a. A Sundberg motion to offer job to Judy Gibbs, provided she can meet eligibility requirements, A Grygo second, approved

b. Work priorities: Lester, Piedmont, Brewer. Spirit Nordic ready if other projects finish early. Discussion of clearing overgrowth of trails as backup projects. Hartley projects National Trails Day and IMBA trail care crew weekend.

3. MDL party next week “official opening” next week

a. Dirtspanker 6/13. Food needs to be picked up and brought out. Race-day registration volunteers.

4. Membership envelopes prepped and ready to order. How to place at trailhead?

5. National Trails Day at Hartley 6-5-10 reroute swamp to pines. Post-work party at M Evingson’s house.

6. Bikes Belong grant for 10K due in August. Hansi Johnson is able to secure letters of recommendation. COGGS work good candidate due to uniqueness of Duluth greenspace and trail corridor. Grant will try to complete corridor of traverse.
